Xacona    

Founded in 2000 by oboist Molly Marsh and Jorge Jimenez, who brought together a group of young talented members of the European Union Baroque Orchestra, Xacona is one of the most dynamic and innovative ensembles of the European early music scene.
All members of Xacona studied in the most pretigious schools of early music in europe such as the Royal Academy of Music in London, Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag or Brussels Conservatoire. The musicians of Xacona have an intense and succesful career performing with the many of the world's  top early music ensembles: English Baroque Soloists, The King's Consort, Academy of Ancient Music, Talens Lyriques, Accademia Bizantina, Europa Galante, Al Ayre Español, among others.
Xacona has performed widely throughout Europe in prestigious venues and festivals, making its London Wigmore Hall debut in 2005. The ensemble was also featured in a live broadcast and interview for BBC Radio 3 “In tune” programme.

Since 2001, Xacona has been the early music Ensemble in Residence at Girton College, Cambridge and for two consecutive years xacona was chosen to represent The King's Consort in its Young Artist Presentation.
