Xacona is a period instrument ensemble directed by the spanish violinist Jorge Jimenez. Conceived in the year 2000 out of the European Union Baroque Orchestra, Xacona brings to life the music of the 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries with total loyalty to the historical sources of the time and a unique combination of dynamism, vitality and energy. This philosophy makes Xacona one of Europe's most exciting early music ensembles. |
